Koh Lanta Old Town

The historic heart of Koh Lanta: a quiet street of old wooden shophouses running along the eastern shore, with piers extending out over the water. Restaurants and cafés occupy many of the old buildings, most with seating out over the sea. Gifts, souvenirs, and some genuinely handmade items appear at the regular markets. The pace is slow and the views across the strait are good. Best visited in the cooler part of the day.
