Saladan Night Marke
Lanta Walking Street During high season a daily evening market in Saladan. Most accessible if you are staying on Klong Dao or Long Beach.
Mostly food and drink stalls, but also the permanent "stores" in the north end of the market (Lanta Plaza)
- Hot Thai food: pad thai, grilled meats, curries, som tum (papaya salad)
- Snacks: roti with banana and condensed milk
- Souvenirs and clothing: batik items, trinkets, sarongs
Prices are tourist-friendly. A full meal of pad thai, grilled skewers, and a fresh juice typically costs 100THB.
Low Season
In the wet months (June-October), many markets are reduced or absent. If you are visiting in low season, some markets (and the walking street) might be closed. Always check locally.
Tips
- Bring cash; no card readers at market stalls
- A light bag is easier than dragging a beach bag through a crowded market
- If you have dietary restrictions, point and ask: most vendors can show you ingredients, though cross-contamination is common in open kitchens
