Pharmacies
Pharmacies are spread around the island, with the most options in Saladan, Long Beach (Phra Ae), and Klong Nin. They stock common medicines including antibiotics, antihistamines, and stomach remedies. For prescription medications or anything specialised, Krabi Town has a wider range.

Nearest Full Hospital
Krabi Hospital in Krabi Town is approximately 70 km away and has more comprehensive facilities than the island hospital. Getting there requires the car ferry or a speedboat transfer, adding time to any emergency. For very serious cases: Bangkok Hospital Phuket or Vachira Phuket Hospital, roughly 3 hours by road and ferry.
Diving Emergencies and Hyperbaric Chamber
There is no hyperbaric chamber on Koh Lanta. The nearest recompression facility is: Krabi Evacuation Center

Bangkok Hospital Phuket also has a diving medicine centre. If you suspect decompression sickness, contact your dive centre immediately. They maintain direct contacts with the evacuation network and can coordinate the fastest response.
Travel Insurance
Medical evacuation to Phuket or Bangkok is expensive without insurance. Make sure your policy covers diving if you plan to dive, and check that it covers emergency helicopter transport.
