Songserm Tran tide service guide

If you have ever arrived at the pier and found things running late, tides are often the reason. Songserm Tran, one of the main ferry operators on the Koh Lanta route, has published a clear guide explaining how water levels affect their service.

The Three Service Levels

Normal service (2.10 to 2.89 m): Ferries run fully as scheduled with no docking restrictions. This is the most common condition during daylight hours.

Very high tide (above 2.90 m): The ramp angle becomes steep and the ferry can only use a single dock. Delays are expected. If you are travelling during a known high-tide period, add extra time to your schedule or consider travelling earlier or later in the day.

Very low tide (below 2.00 m): Also a single-dock situation, and some vessel types cannot dock at all. Delays are likely. Early morning departures during dry season months are most often affected.

Reading the June Tide Table

Krabi tide table June 2026

The table above shows hourly tide levels at Pak Nam Krabi for June 2026. Each cell is the water level in metres for that hour of that day. Cross-reference with the service guide above: green-range hours (roughly 2.10 to 2.89 m) are your safest travel windows. Red cells at either extreme are when delays are most likely.

June falls in the low season, when some ferry routes reduce frequency. It is worth confirming your departure time directly with your operator.

General Tips

Tides follow a predictable monthly cycle. The days around a full moon and new moon tend to bring the most extreme levels in both directions. Arriving at the pier 15 to 20 minutes early is always a good idea, and staff will update you on any delays.
